October of 2017 marked 100 years since the October Revolution in Russia, essentially marking the beginning of one of the greatest social experiments in human history, The Soviet Union.
The Soviet ideology brought about a whole new perspective on the world, one of egalitarianism. Such an ideology was reflected over the 70 years through art and architecture, as well as culture, music, film etc.
I was a key contributor to the 59th Issue of the Drouth Magazine, publishing na article on Soviet Housing during the communist era in my mother country of Russia. As well as this, I was a key panel member and speaker at the Mackintosh Architecture Student Society (MASS) event named OKTOBER in October of 2017.
