The project involved the design of a nursery in the Carrick Ayrshire area to accommodate young children from ages 1-5, with provision of indoor and outdoor play areas and staff facilities. The design is centred around the surrounding Farm Park area, with the proposed building adopting a rural-like and modest overall design, in an attempt to respect and compliment the existing context.

2 Proposals were made over the course of 5 months, an initial proposal of one large building, submitted for a planning application in April, and a second post-planning application re-design, consisting of 3 separate blocks to form a central courtyard.

 

Project is currently at post planning stage and was undertaken during employment at CASA Design Architects.
