The renovation of a listed house on the grounds of Wellington School, Ayr. The design aims to create a contemporary renovation of the existng house into classroom spaces, staff meeting rooms, and toilet facilities. New windows and timber cladding features were added to the principle elevations, creating a contemporary and inviting vibe. Sustaibable and energy efficient heat sources were integrated in the conceptual design stage to include a Healthbox II MVHR system to improve indoor air quality for learning spaces as well as potential for CHP Biomass boiler. Project is currently at pre-planning stage and was undertaken during employment at CASA Design Architects.
